Dr. James grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree with highest distinction from the University of Louisville. During dental school, she was honored with the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, recognized as a Hinman Dental Society Scholar, and inducted as an honorary member of the Delphi Society, Alpha Chapter.

Meet Dr. Alli James

Following graduation, Dr. James completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Dental College of Georgia. She is certified in surgical implant placement and IV sedation and is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
After more than a year of managing a chronic neck injury, Dr. Alli made the difficult decision in March 2025 to step away from full-time clinical dentistry. Determined to continue contributing her expertise to the field, she partnered with Dr. Stahrr in June 2025 to create a hybrid administrative and clinical role—Director of Clinical Operations. In this position, she focuses on supporting clinical workflows, implementing organizational systems, strengthening communication, and serving as a resource for both patients and colleagues.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. James finds joy and balance in the outdoors. She loves hiking, backpacking, skiing, gravel biking, and swimming in alpine lakes—always seeking new ways to connect with nature.
