What Is CEREC® Technology?
The CEREC system allows us to create dental restorations in house using advanced digital technology and high-quality ceramic materials. Instead of relying on an outside laboratory, everything is completed in our office, simplifying the process and eliminating the need for multiple appointments.
How CEREC® Works
The process begins with digital imaging. A small camera captures detailed images of your tooth, creating a precise 3D model. This replaces the need for traditional impressions and allows for a more comfortable experience. From there, specialized software is used to design your restoration so that it fits your tooth’s shape and function. Once the design is complete, the restoration is created from a solid block of ceramic using a milling machine. After it is crafted, the restoration is carefully bonded to your tooth, completing the entire process in one appointment.
